Dermablading

WHAT IS DERMA BLADING?

Derma blading, also known as Planing or Leveling, removes the outer most layers of dead skin cells leaving the skin immediately smooth…feeling very supple and extremely vibrant!

HOW DOES DERMA BLADING WORK?

Your skin care professional will use a sterile surgical blade to remove the dead skin cells. This surgical blade is held against the skin at a 45 degree angle and using small quick strokes are moved along the skin. Derma Planing or Blading is done on the face only.

IS DERMA BLADING SAFE?

Dermablading is recognized as a non-traumatic method of skin rejuvenation. This treatment, when administered by a professionally trained skin care professional is very safe. There is little risk to the skin just as when a man shaves his face. This treatment is great for most skin types.

WILL FACIAL HAIR GROW BACK THICKER?

No. Villous hairs, aka peach fuzz, is not able to grow back thicker. Terminal hair, thicker hair such as eye brows, mustache and beards on men, will grow as it did before.

HOW OFTEN IS THIS PROCEDURE PERFORMED?

You can do this treatment about every 4-5 weeks. When we blade the skin it will remove about 3 weeks worth of build up of dead skin cells. You should allow your skin to completely recover before removing again.

CAN BLADING BE PERFORMED WITH A CHEMICAL PEEL?

Yes it can. It's best to use a peel that doesn't traumatize the skin . This will be discussed in your consultation.

DOES THE SKIN ACTUALLY PEEL FROM DERMA BLADING?

Sometimes the skin will peel after a treatment. Boost your skin with a lot of hydration after this treatment to keep your skin supple smooth and soft. Use a collagen cream to keep skin firm and smooth.

WHAT SKIN TYPES/CONDITIONS CAN BE TREATED?

This treatment is wonderful for all skin types except for those suffering from erupting acne. After the acne has healed this treatment will assist in helping with any scaring that may have occurred.
